Exercise during and after cancer treatment

Exercise is now a recognised part of care during and after cancer treatment. Done at the right level, it can help with fatigue, strength and confidence in everyday activities.

Starting safely

  • Check with your oncology team before you start.
  • Begin with short, gentle sessions and build up slowly.
  • Expect good days and bad days, and adjust accordingly.

Oncology rehabilitation gives you a supervised plan that works around your treatment and how you are feeling each week.

This article is general information, not a diagnosis. If you're in pain, a Physiotherapist can assess you properly and tell you what will help.
