The first weeks after a hip replacement are often the hardest to get to a clinic. Home Therapy brings the assessment and exercises to you, then sessions move to the clinic as walking improves.

How the plan progressed

  • Weeks 1–2: home visits, safe walking and getting in and out of bed and the car.
  • Weeks 3–4: building hip strength and walking further each day.
  • Weeks 5–6: clinic sessions, balance work and walking without a stick.

This article is general information, not a diagnosis. If you're in pain, a Physiotherapist can assess you properly and tell you what will help.
